On December 16 Varuzhan Nersesyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Unites States of America, met with Senator Chris Van Hollen (D - Maryland).
Ambassador Nersesyan expressed gratitude for the unanimous consent by the Senate for the adoption of the Armenian Genocide Resolution and thanked Senator for his efforts towards the deepening of Armenian-American relations.
During the meeting, Ambassador Nersesyan presented the agenda of the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia. The interlocutors discussed US investment opportunities in Armenia and issues regarding various fields of bilateral cooperation.
At the request of the Senator, Varuzhan Nersesyan presented the recent developments of the Nagorno Karabakh peace process, as well as Armenia's foreign policy priorities.
